What are the forming methods of the reducer?

The reducer is also called the big end and the small end, which is one of the chemical pipe fittings used to connect two different pipe diameters. It is divided into concentric-sized heads and eccentric-sized heads. The roundness of the reducer shall not exceed 1% of the outer diameter of the corresponding end, and the allowable deviation is ±3 mm. Reducing pipe (large and small head) is a pipe connection used for pipe diameters. It is usually used for shrinkage suppression in the molding process, diameter expansion suppression or shrinkage increase and suppression diameter. Some sizes of reducers can also be used for punching molding.


Shrinking diameter/diameter expansion molding: The shrinking molding process of the reducer makes the diameter of the tube blank and the big end tube equal to the forming die, and the metal moves and shrinks along the cavity. The direction of the tube blank is to press the shape along the axis. According to the diameter of the reducer, it can be divided into one compression molding or multiple compression molds. When the diameter is enlarged and formed, the tube blank adopts tubes with different diameters, and the diameter is formed along the inner diameter of the tube blank in the inner punching die.



In the process of diameter increase, it is not easy to form a large tube with a variable diameter by shrinking. The expansion diameter and shrinkage method can be combined according to the material and product. Formed needs. In the process of contraction or expansion, the use of cold pressing or hot pressing is determined according to different materials and variable diameters. In general, as long as cold pressing can be used, hot pressing should be used for multiple variable diameters caused by critical work hardening and thicker or alloy steel materials.


Stamping: In addition to using steel pipe as the raw material for manufacturing different reducing pipes, some specifications of reducing pipes can also be used in the production of steel stamping process. The shape of the die used for stretching is designed according to the diameter of the pipe surface. After the material is compressed, the steel plate is punched and stretched with a punching die.
